I have read that the name Moseley (including all derivatives) was from the West Midlands area of England(or Britain?) whichever is correct. Moses Renshaw was the 5th Son of Thomas Renshaw born 1724 in Derbyshire and Elizabeth Brailsford born 1721 in Staveley Derbyshire.Thomas and Elizabeth ere maried in 1748 in Sutton cum Duckmanton, Derbyshire. We believe that Elizabeth's father may have been Thomas Brailsford of Derby (benefactor 1711) as Elizabeth is recorded as a benefactor of Derby in 1794.
