As a registered site member, you can see information regarding more recent family members. You will also benefit from the site forums and you can post news items which you think may be of interest to others. We would also like to hear more of your research interests, increasing the chances of linking your work with that of others visiting the site.

2 Drams Bicarbonate of Potash
1/2oz Compound concentrated Infusion of Gention
1 Dram Spirits of Chloroform
Water make up to 8 oz

Take 1 tablespoonful  3 times a day.

I don't know whether this would cure indigestion or not, but it looks like it could put a stop to most things, including breathing!

Am I pleased someone invented Rennies..

If a simple thing like indigestion required such drastic remedies, I hate to think what some of the other ailments would have called for.

What exactly was the chloroform for?
